A site that tells you whether a game is worth buying right now, at its current price. For each game we combine Steam reviews, recent patch activity and the price history into one verdict, and show the evidence behind it.
Buy now, Worth considering, Buy on sale, Wait for fixes, Not for you, Free to play and Insufficient evidence. Each has a one-line meaning on the home page, and the exact rules, with their numbers, are published.
No. Verdicts are calculated by fixed, published rules from measured data, and are marked "Rule-based". A verdict is a guide, not a guarantee, and not a review score: it answers "should you buy this, at this price, right now?".
No. The site has no ads and no affiliate links at the moment, and the verdict rules know nothing about commissions. If that ever changes, it will be written here and marked next to the links.
No. PlayVerdicts is an independent site. Game names, images and ratings belong to their owners; we show them to describe the games.
Steam supplies the reviews, the prices, the patch news, the Steam Deck rating, the player counts and the system requirements. IsThereAnyDeal supplies the price history. Prices are Steam store prices.
A background job refreshes it every hour, a batch of games at a time, so each game is updated several times a day. Each page shows when its data was last checked, and a price can change between that check and your visit.
Either it has too few Steam reviews for a fair call, or its data has not been collected yet (new games are added in batches and fill in over a few hours). It is not a negative verdict.
Each site uses its own Steam store prices (dollars on the English site, euros on the Hungarian one, with an approximate forint amount), and the price is one part of the verdict. The same game can be a good deal in one store and not in the other.
The catalogue grows in batches. Tell us which game with the contact form (topic: "Request a game").
No: every verdict is open to read. An account keeps your watchlist, PC specs and profile on every device, and lets you set price alerts, get the weekly email and make shared lists.
Both are off until you switch them on, and both need an account with a confirmed email address. An alert emails you once when a game reaches the condition you set; the weekly email is one summary of changes for your watchlist, at most once a week. Every email has a stop link.
One cookie keeps you signed in. Your watchlist and settings are kept in your browser. Page views are counted without cookies, and your address is not stored. The details are on the privacy page.
On your account page you can download everything we store about you, and delete the account, which erases it. For any other request about your data, use the contact form.
Only people who have the link. A list is not shown anywhere on the site, and search engines are told not to index it. You can delete a list at any time, and its link stops working.
Tap "Not helpful" under the verdict and pick a reason, or send a message with the contact form (topic: "Wrong verdict" or "Wrong data") and name the game. Please say what you expected to see.
Try a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5). If it still fails, tell us what you did, on which page and in which browser, with the contact form (topic: "Bug").
